FAQ

Botox and Dermal Fillers

Are dentists qualified for Dermal Filler and Botox injections?

Dr. Rodriguez has received training through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, using the curriculum of the expert Dr. Louis Malcmacher. Dentists have an advantage over other health care professionals by being very familiar with the facial muscles and giving intra-oral injections. Intra-oral injections assure that the dermal filler procedure will be practically painless!

CEREC

Why should I choose a CEREC restoration over the traditional filling?

CEREC restorations allows us to create restorations that look so natural that no one will be able to tell that you have a filling. Besides, unlike silver fillings and white resin fillings, CEREC restorations are made from pressed ceramic or porcelain. They are mercury-free, contain no metal, and are stronger and more durable.

Preventive Dentistry

What is preventive dentistry?

Preventive dentistry is the practice of seeing you regularly and monitoring the state of your oral health on an ongoing basis. This lets us diagnose and deal with dental problems before they become large, painful and expensive.

X-rays

Do I need to have an X-ray?

It's very important for us to be able to have a clear and full picture regarding the condition of your teeth and jaws before treatment.

Insurance

What about dental insurance?

We will work with you and gladly complete all the paperwork your carrier requires to expedite your treatment coverage. For services not covered by your insurance, we expect payment when these services are delivered.

Veneers

What are veneers?

Veneers are thin porcelain "shells" that are bonded to teeth to totally rejuvenate a smile. Veneers are an effective technique to correct gaps, chips, stains and other imperfections.

Gum Disease

How can my gum disease affect my health?

Researchers have found that there is a connection between periodontal (gum) disease and heart disease and that there are other mouth-body connections. Many people have undiagnosed gum disease. A periodontal evaluation will be done on our patients to rule out any periodontal condition.
